This is a classic ‘mum and dad’ investor story, this site was first purchased as a rental property. George Chambers was asked what can be done with the property.
George, as the previous in house design director of a property developer, knew the site’s potential. Initial site analysis and investigation by others would return 10-12 units – George submitting a DA and achieving approval for 18 owner occupier type apartments with high ceilings and large balconies.
With the approval, the owner found a Sydney property developer investor, who purchased at well over unimproved market value. The developer still able to hold the property at limited cost with the existing rental property.
This Sydney investor/ developer impressed with George’s design placed C2 on board as their project architect’s.
